Easy Tai Chi has only 8 forms, and is a research-based program from the Oregon Research Institute. This production contains four separate segments: 1. Seated, narrated version. 2. Seated version with music and no narration (desired seated goal). 3. Standing, narrated version. 4) Standing version with music and no narration (desired standing goal). The benefits of both the seated and standing versions include improved core strength, flexibility and increased awareness of one’s body as well as one’s personal space. Additional benefits related to the standing version include improved lower body strength and enhanced awareness of one’s center of gravity. Easy Tai Chi is reported to have reduced the fall rates of the older adults studied by up to 55%. There is no equipment needed and the 8 forms, once mastered, take as little as 3-5 minutes from beginning-to-end. The idea is to do the 8 forms repeatedly in an effort to realize the greatest amount of benefit. This title can be used by anyone, regardless of capability and/or limitations.
